How far are you willing to travel? We love to travel, so we’ll go anywhere in the world! Our quote will include a fee for time and travel expenses. How long are your performance times? Usually, we play two 1 hour sets but we're very flexible and will play what is required for your event. How long does it take you to set up? It can vary from venue to venue (we always check with the venue’s management so we’re pre-warned about any get-ins that may take longer than usual) but once we’re in, it takes us about an hour to set up. Does your time of arrival and when you leave affect the cost? Yes it does. The price we quote will take into consideration the logistics of the day such as travelling time, setting up in the morning if required, and the music curfew of the event. What are the best times to play at a wedding reception? Experience has taught us that rather than have performing times written in stone, it’s best to feel the mood of the guests - and particularly, when the bride and groom feel they are ready for their first dance. Most people feel ready for a boogie later rather than earlier. Having one shorter set before the evening buffet is served, and then a longer one after it often works well, but again, we are flexible and are happy to play when you require. What happens to the music when you are not performing? We can provide a selection of CDs to play when we’re not performing but we do find that it’s often conducive to a good night to have a DJ looking after the proceedings; they are able to respond to what the guests want to hear. We can provide an excellent DJ we work regularly with. Will you learn our first dance/special song? Yes! We pride ourselves on being able to learn any song (and then hope that you don’t request Bohemian Rhapsody!!). In the past we’ve had everything from The Beach Boys to Metallica, taking in Al Green and Celine Dion along the way! Can we choose which songs you perform? This is something we like to work with you on. We ask that you’re not too prescriptive and think about what your guests would like as well as your personal preferences. Obviously, if there are songs in our repertoire which you absolutely loathe, then by all means veto them, but we’ve been doing this long enough to know what works and what doesn’t. Quite often, songs that you wouldn’t give space to on your ipod are the ones that get the party going! We won’t play a song because we like it, but because we feel that it’s right for the people we’re performing to. We just want to make sure that your guests have a great time! Do you have Public Liability Insurance and PAT (electrical safety) certificates for your equipment? Yes. We are covered and can provide certification if required. Do you require a deposit when booking? We ask for a deposit when you return the contract to secure the date. Nearer the time of the event we ask for a further deposit. The balance can be settled on the day of the event. Are there any hidden costs? No. We will always quote a fee which is fully inclusive of all costs. Is there anything else I need to know? You will be required to provide refreshments for the band. Scientists have proved that musicians think about food for 90% of the time! A band always plays better on a full stomach! What if there is something else I need to ask?? Give us a call anytime
